Concrete Mix Calculator
Estimate materials for a 1:2:3 mix ratio (Cement : Sand : Aggregate)
Estimated Materials Required
How to Use This Concrete Mix Calculator
Calculating the correct amount of concrete materials is crucial for the structural integrity of your project and for staying within budget. This tool uses a standard 1:2:3 mix ratio (1 part cement, 2 parts sand, 3 parts aggregate), which is suitable for paths, driveways, and general slabs.
Step 1: Measure Your Area
Measure the length, width, and depth of the area you wish to fill with concrete. Ensure all measurements are in meters. For example, if your slab is 10cm thick, enter 0.1 as the depth.
Step 2: Account for Waste
It is always recommended to order slightly more material than you think you need to account for spillage, uneven ground, or variations in depth. A standard waste factor is 5%, but you can increase this if the ground is particularly uneven.
Understanding the Results
The calculator provides the total wet volume (the space the concrete will occupy) and breaks down the dry materials needed:
- Cement Bags: Based on standard 50kg bags.
- Sand: The total weight in kilograms.
- Aggregate: The total weight in kilograms (gravel or crushed stone).
